Stagg High School has been selected as the set construction and rehearsal space for this year’s production. The 99 participants from across Illinois will be at Stagg High School during long-weekends throughout the school year to prepare for the show. This includes the weekends of October 9-11, November 27-29 and December 27-29 in preparation for the show that will be staged at Illinois State University January 7-9.

The Illinois High School Theatre festival is the largest state Theater Festival in the country. Every January, 4,000 students and teachers meet for three days at ISU or U of I Champaign/Urbana to perform, do workshops, audition for college programs and see the All-State Production. This year that production is the musical “Rent.” All actors and technicians for the show were selected by general auditions for the actors and interview/portfolio reviews for the technicians early this past summer.
