District 230 honors 27 National Merit awardees
Commended among top 3%; Semifinalists among top 1.5% in United States
The School Board honored 27 District 230 students for being named National Merit Commended Scholars or Semifinalists. Of 1.5 million high school students, Commended Scholars are in the top 3% in the country and Semifinalists are in the top 1.5%. This is an amazing accomplishment for these students who are supported by their families, teachers, staff, schools and community.
As can be seen in the photo, a few of their proud parents were on hand to celebrate their accomplishments along with the School Board last night.
