District 230 School Board hires Stagg High School Division Chair and Special Program Coordinator

Sieczkowski and Palacios join District 230

The Consolidated High School District 230 School Board last night approved hiring Joseph Sieczkowski as Division Chair for Science, Applied Technology, and Family and Consumer Sciences at Stagg High School, and Edgar Palacios as Special Programs Coordinator for the District.

Sieczkowski joins the Stagg High School administrative team from South Elgin High School where he has been a Technology Education teacher and Instructional Technology Integration Coach. He earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Chicago Concordia University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Education from Illinois State University.

Palacios joins District 230 from Plano Unit School District 88 where he served as Director of Assessment and English Language Acquisition. Prior to that, he was an ELL Teacher/Coach at Lyons Township High School District 204 and a Social Studies Teacher at J. Sterling Morton High School. He earned a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Administration and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Benedictine University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education in History from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an English Language Learner endorsement from National Louis University.

The Special Program Coordinator is a new position that coordinates English Language Learner programming to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines and grants. Palacios will also support the Instructional Services department in the master scheduling process, discipline process, and alternative school programs.
