DUI
Thomas W. O’Brien, 52, of Avondale, Ariz., was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit and aggravated speeding after a Feb. 24 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.

Police clocked O’Brien going 81 mph in a 50-mph zone at about 1:34 a.m., in the 6500 block of West 135th Street, the report stated. During the stop, O’Brien showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was taken in to custody, the report added. At the station, O’Brien took a breath test that registered a blood-alcohol content more than 0.08, according to the report.
O’Brien was held on $3,000 bond, and his court date is March 19.

SUNDAY, FEB. 22
Retail Theft
George J. Neff, 54, of the 4800 block of South Lavergne Avenue, Chicago, was charged with retail theft after a Feb. 22 incident, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Neff was accused of taking four bottles of Smirnoff vodka and two boxes of Fannie Mae candy at about 5:52 p.m., from Walgreens, 12659 S. Ridgeland Ave., without paying for them, the report stated. He was taken in to custody in a parking lot just north of the store, the report added.
Neff was held on $1,500 bond, and his court date is April 2.
DUI
Peter Meneghini, 44, of the 12300 block of South Natchez Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance and improper lane use after a Feb. 22 crash in the 6700 block of East Navajo Drive, according to Palos Heights police records.
Meneghini’s car drove off the road at around 9:21 p.m. and over grass and bushes in a residential yard, the report stated. Police noticed Meneghini had been drinking, and he failed field sobriety tests at the scene, the report added. At the station, Meneghini refused chemical tests, according to the report.
Meneghini was held on $1,500 bond, and his court date is April 2.
SATURDAY, FEB. 21
DUI
Jacqueline S. Triplett, 51, of Peoria, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license, speeding and improper lane use, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police clocked Triplett going 51 mph in a 35-mph zone, as well as crossing over the white-dashed line in the 11900 block of South Harlem Avenue, at about 1:52 a.m., the report stated. During the stop, police found Triplett had been drinking, and she failed field sobriety tests at the scene, the report added.
While in custody, Triplett refused any chemical testing, the report stated.
Triplett was held on $3,000 bond, and her court date is March 19.
DUI
Elvia Gutierrez, 41, of the 14000 block of Char Lane, Crestwood, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, aggravated speeding and improper lane use after a Feb. 21 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police clocked Gutierrez going 62 mph in a 35-mph zone at about 3:49 a.m., in the 13100 block of South Harlem Avenue, the report stated. Gutierrez showed signs of alcohol intoxication during the stop and failed field sobriety tests at the scene, the report added..
Gutierrez was held on $3,000 bond, and his court date is April 2.
DUI
Danny A. Davis, 39, of Hammond, Ind., was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit speeding and failure to signal when required after a Feb. 21 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police pulled over Davis for going 55 mph in a 35-mph zone and for turning without signaling at about 8:16 p.m., in the 7600 block of West 127th Street, the report stated. During the stop, Davis failed field sobriety tests at the scene and was taken in to custody, the report added. At the station, Davis took a breath test which registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.110, according to the report.
Davis was held on $3,000 bond, and his court date is April 2.
THURSDAY, FEB. 19
DUI
Rick D. Rybarski, 53, of the 3900 block of West 116th Place, Alsip, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit and improper lane use after a Feb. 18 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police pulled over Rybarski at about 1:18 a.m., in the 6400 block of West Route 83, after noticing him crossing over the solid, yellow line after turning, the report stated. During the stop, police observed that Rybarski was under the influence of alcohol, the report added.
Once in custody, Rybarski took a breath test that registered a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08, the report stated.
Rybarski was held on $1,000 bond, and his court date is March 19.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 18
DUI
Dustin M. Marcukaitis, 25, of the 29700 block of South Egyptian Trail, Peotone, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit, speeding and improper lane use after a Feb. 15 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police clocked Marcukaitis going 77 mph in a 50-mph zone at about 2:16 a.m., in the 13500 block of South Harlem Avenue, the report stated. Marcukaitis also was seen weaving in and out of traffic lanes, the report added.
Once pulled over, officers noticed Marcukaitis had been drinking, and he failed failed field sobriety tests at the scene, the report stated. While in custody, Marcukaitis took a breath test that registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.108, the report added.
Marcukaitis was held on $3,000 bond, and his court date is March 19.
