DUI
Edward Jimenez, 50, of the 5100 block of South Nagle Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit and speeding after a March 8 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.

Police clocked Jimenez at about 9:36 p.m., going 50 mph in a 35-mph zone in the 11900 block of South Harlem Avenue, the report stated. Jimenez failed field sobriety tests at the scene and was taken in to custody the report added.
At the station, Jimenez was given a breath test, which registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.122, the report stated.

Jimenez was held on $1,500 bond, and his court date is April 24.
SATURDAY, MARCH 7
RETAIL THEFT
Palos Heights police stopped two Chicago men accused of trying to steal alcohol from a grocery store March 7 and then also arrested them for a retail theft the previous day, according to police reports.
David Meeks, 55, of the 5000 block of South Indiana Avenue, Chicago, and Anthony Hamilton, 39, of the 2400 block of South State Street, Chicago, were arrested and charged with two counts of retail theft.
Police responded to a call at about 6:14 a.m. from security agents at Jewel, 12803 Harlem Ave., concerning two men stealing four bottles of Grey Goose vodka, the report stated. While the two men were detained, police discovered they had been accused of committing another retail theft the day before, the report added. Details of that incident were not included in the report.
During the arrest, Hamilton initially gave officers a false name, and police discovered he had several outstanding no-bond warrants from other law enforcement agencies, the report stated. Hamilton also was charged obstruction and another count of retail theft, the report added.
Meeks was held on $1,500 bond, and his court date is April 2. Hamilton was turned over to an unspecified law enforcement agency, and his court date also is April 2.
DUI
Salim Bal, 48, of the 7300 block of West 85th Street, Bridgeview, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, speeding and driving without insurance after a March 7 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police clocked Bal at about 12:55 a.m., going 57 mph in a 35-mph zone in the 11800 block of South Harlem Avenue, the report stated. At the scene, Bal failed field sobriety tests and refused any any chemical testing once in custody, the report added.
Bal was held on $1,000 bond, and his court date is April 24.
DUI
Kevin F. Brady, 26, of the 9200 block of South Winchester Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit, speeding and improper lane use after a March 7 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Brady was pulled over at about 4:33 a.m. after police clocked him going 56 mph in a 45-mph zone in the 6600 block of West College Drive, as well as noticing cross over the solid yellow line, the report stated. At the scene, Brady failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody, the report added.
At the station, Brady took a breath test that registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.165 the report stated.
Brady was held on $1,000 bond, and his court date April 2.
FRIDAY, MARCH 6
DUI
Dawn M. Jachimiec, 26, of the 16W00 block of West 56th Street, Clarendon Hills, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08, driving with an expired license, driving without insurance and improper lane use after a March 6 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Jachimiec was pulled over at about 2:38 a.m. in the 13000 block of South Harlem Avenue, after police noticed her driving over the white dotted line, the report stated. After she was taken in to custody, Jachimiec took a breath test, which registered a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit, the report added.
Jachimiec was held on $3,000 bond, and her court date is April 2.
DUI
Hilary J. Owens, 39, of the 4800 block of West 99th Street, Oak Lawn, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of open alcohol, driving without insurance and driving with an expired registration after a March 6 traffic stop, according to a Palos Heights police reports.
Police pulled over Owens at 9:15 p.m. in the 12800 block of South Harlem Avenue, after the officer noticed she had expired vehicle registration, the report stated. During the stop, numerous open alcohol containers could be seen in the car, and Owens told police she had been drinking, the report added. Owens also failed field sobriety tests at the scene, according to the report.
Once in custody at the station, Owens refused to do any chemical testing, the report stated. She was held on $3,000 bond, and her court date is April 24.
MONDAY, MARCH 2
DUI
Herman A. Wagner, 64, of the 12000 block of South Lavergne Avenue, Alsip, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after a March 2 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police.
Police clocked Wagner at around 8:19 p.m., going 56 mph in a 35-mph zone in the 6800 block of 127th Street, the report stated. During the stop, Wagner showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests at the scene, the report added.
Wagner was held on $3,000 bond, and his court date is March 19.
