DUI
Bryan J. Scapardine, 39, of the 14800 block of S. Cleveland Avenue, Posen, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating a handheld electronic device while driving and improper parking on the roadway after a Nov. 30 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.

Police stopped Scapardine at about 4:04 a.m. in the 12600 block of Ridgeland Avenue after his vehicle was stopped in the median lane, and he was using his cell phone without a hands-free device, the report stated. Police later determined Scapardine was driving under the influence of alcohol, the report added.
Scapardine was released on a $1,000 bond, and his court date is Jan. 13.

DUI
Cody Lee Evans, 24, of the 9200 block of South 86th Court, Hickory Hills, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding after a Nov. 30 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police pulled over Evans at about 12:01 a.m. in the 13500 block of South Harlem Avenue, after clocking him going 56 mph in a 35-mph zone, the report stated. Police later determined Evans was driving under the influence of alcohol, the report added.
Evans was released on a $1,000 bond, and his court date is Jan. 13.
DUI
Debbie A. Bruce, 51, of the 9200 block of Birch Street, Orland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use after a Nov. 23 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Bruce was pulled over at about 1:56 a.m., in the 12200 block of South Harlem Avenue, after police observed her make several lane violations, the report stated. During the stop, police reported that Bruce had bloodshot eyes and a smell of alcohol on her breath, the report added.
Police took Burce in to custody after she failed field sobriety tests, the report stated. She was released on $3,000 bond, and her court date is scheduled for Dec. 29.
NOV. 27
Aggravated Speeding
Sean Joseph McGinnis, 27, of the 15300 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue, Oak Forest, was arrested and charged with aggravated speeding after a Nov. 27 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police clocked McGinnis at about 1:44 a.m., going 66 mph in the 13400 block of South Ridgeland Avenue, which is a 40-mph speed zone, the report stated. McGinnis was released on a $1,500 bond, and his court date is Dec. 29.
SATURDAY, NOV. 22
DUI
Cody Baker, 24, of the 16500 block of Craig Drive, Oak Forest, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use after a Nov. 22 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.
Police stopped Baker for lane violations at about 1:56 a.m., in the 7100 block of West College Drive, the report stated. During the stop, police noticed Baker had bloodshot eyes, and vomit was on his lap and inside the driver’s area, the report added.
Baker refused to complete field sobriety tests, and police took him in to custody, the report stated. Baker’s court date is set for Dec. 29.
THEFTS WITH NO ARRESTS
- Nov. 18: The catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked in the lot at Chicago Christian High School, 12001 S. Oak Park Ave., according to Palos Heights police reports. The victim told police the car was parked in the lot from noon Nov. 14, until 3:30 p.m. Nov. 15, and the theft was reported to police Nov. 18.
- Nov. 14: A cell phone was stolen Nov. 14 from a vehicle parked in the 12800 block of South Harlem Avenue, according to Palos Heights police reports.
- Nov. 12: Multiple tools were stolen from the Ridgeland Avenue Bridge construction site during the overnight hours between Nov. 11 and 12, according to Palos Heights police reports. The theft is currently under investigation.
