Missing Elderly Woman Found Safe: Sheriff
The family last heard from Dolores Eriksen, 88, when she called to say she was lost, possibly borrowing someone's phone in Indiana.
PALOS HEIGHTS, IL -- Just after 2 p.m. the Cook County Sheriff's Office said a missing Palos Heights woman had been found safe. On Friday, officials had asked for the public's help locating the 88-year-old.
The family of Dolores Eriksen last heard from her around 5:45 p.m. Thursday, after she called from is believed to be another person’s phone to say she was in Indiana after getting lost on her way home from church in Evergreen Park. She was reported missing Thursday night when she didn’t come home.
The sheriff's office did not offer any additional information other than to say Eriksen was found safe.
