Naturalist Jack MacRae will show slides and tell of his 240 mile journey from the Chiwaukee Prairie on the Wisconsin border to the Warren Woods in Michigan. In fifteen days, Jack walked through 50 nature preserves, parks, and natural areas...all part of what has become known as the amazing "Chicago Wilderness."
Come and let Jack tell you about the awesome wilderness, right at our doorsteps, of prairies, sand dunes, forests, flatwoods, savannas, rivers, ponds, wetlands, ravines, and one great lake! Jack works for the DuPage Forest Preserves and has written many articles for Chicago Wilderness magazine. He's sure to have great photos and a passion for his work which will add inspiration to your commitment to honor this precious planet.
