Rob Sorensen is starring in the Will Rogers Follies at the Oak Lawn Theatre. The Will Rogers Follies is the 1992 Tony Award winning musical that tells the story of Will Rogers life in the style of the famous Ziegfeld Follies. Will actually started out in a Wild West show as a cowboy, riding and roping. He then graduated to vaudeville and eventually became the top star star in the Ziegfield Follies, which was the most famous show in the country then. In addition to his rope-spinning, he'd read the day’s newspaper headlines and poke fun at the politicians and tell jokes. Rob is starring as Will Rogers and will entertain the audience with stories, rope spinning and jokes. Don't miss this heartwarming show about one of the most famous entertainers in America.
Performances are Friday – Sunday, 8/3- 8/5 and 8/10 – 8/12. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8pm, Sunday performances are at 3pm.
