Teen's Facebook Firearm Sale Turns into Armed Robbery

Two teens arrested in Palos Hills.

A Palos Hills teen-ager who tried to broker the sale of a gun to a Facebook friend instead wound up getting robbed last week. The teen-ager arranged a meeting on Feb. 22 with the buyer and two other teens who he knew to have a gun, according to Palos Hills police.

When the four met near 111th Street and Kean Avenue, the teens who brought the hardware used to commit robbery, taking the teen-agers’ cell phone, police said. The boy went home, told his mom and dad, police were called, and the two gun sellers were arrested on Tuesday and charged with armed robbery, police said.
