Facebook Scam
A resident who posted items for sale on Facebook Marketplace reported receiving a bad check from a buyer. The check was far more than what the item cost. The buyer asked the seller to send the remainder of the funds to a third party through a Walmart money transfer.
Ex-Business Partner Hassling Him
A man reported on Dec. 5 that his ex-business partner has been sending him unwanted emails and Facebook messages.
Pushing His Neighbor Around
Skirmantas Slavinskas, 46, of Palos Hills, was charged with three counts of battery on Dec. 9. Slavinskas was allegedly seen pushing his neighbor around.

Stolen Pills
Police responded to Walgreens at 11053 Southwest Highway around 7 p.m. Dec. 9. Employees told officers that someone removed several pill bottles totaling over $800 from Walgreens and walking out the door.
