First-ever District 230 All District Band

Performance set for Jan 22

Selected students from the band programs at Carl Sandburg, Victor J. Andrew and Amos Alonzo Stagg High Schools will perform in the first-ever District 230 All-District Band on Wednesday, January 22 at 7:00 PM at the Sandburg Performing Arts Center (13300 South La Grange Road, Orland Park, IL 60462). The band will be conducted by Mr. Daniel Romano, retired band director from Victor J. Andrew High School.

All are invited to attend this free event!

Selections to be performed include, Third Suite by Robert Jager, Blessed Are They (from A German Requiem) by Johannes Brahms, arr. Barbara Buehlmann, and Symphony No.4 for Winds and Percussion by Andrew Boysen, Jr.

The students have been recognized as hard-working and rising musicians amongst their peers within their band programs. This is considered quite an honor!

"We are incredibly grateful to the District 230 School Board and administrative teams for providing support for this event," said Stagg Band Director Bob Mecozzi. "We are very excited to be able to share the incredible work ethic, talent, dedication, and musicianship of the students in these programs, and are grateful that the students from each school will share in the common bond of music performance."
