Flooding, Road Closures, Reported Throughout Palos Park Area
Flooded roadways are being reported throughout Palos Park. Expect road closures for Monday morning's commute, police say.
PALOS PARK, IL — Hazardous road conditions are being reported in the Palos area. Palos Park police from all four beats Palos Park police traffic alert our patrol officers in all four beats are reporting roads underwater while others have significant amounts of water running across them.
“We are expecting more storms, and we recommend if you do not have to go out to please stay home,” Palos Park police said on Facebook.
Flooded roads extend from 80th Avenue and Southwest Highway as far west as Archer and Parker roads. Offices say they have trouble navigating roadways because of water.

- Route 83 is closed in various places McCarthy Road
- Closed east of Route 45
- Southwest Highway is closed south of 131st
- Heavy water on the road in the area of 121st
- Flooding at 115th and Archer
Palos Park police officer are also on the scene with IDOT at 111th Street and Parker. These road closures are likely to continue through Monday morning. If you have to go out, avoid driving through standing water.
