Free family fun at the Beverly Arts Center the Sunday

The fabulous Beverly Arts Center is having a free family event called GET IN GET ART on Sunday, September 22 from 2 - 4 p.m. This is the first in a series of monthly free hands-on art days.

Visitors will be able to meet author Scott Redman, who will read his brand new book about trains. “Chug a Chug” at 2:30 and at 3:30 pm. (ages 3 – 7). Patrick Elwood, anchor and reporter at FOX Chicago 32, will be the featured reader for "George's Marvelous Medicine" at 2:30. (Ages 8-12)  All reading sessions will have a raffle drawing at the end for a free book!

The kids activity station will be open from 2 - 4.pm.  Play games, do crafts, get your passport stamped and get a treat! (All ages)

Actors and participants will bring stories to life through improvisation games via Improv Stories at 3:30pm. (Ages 5 – 12)

Adults can gather for STORY HOUR at 2 pm. Participants in this Writers Group mini writing workshop will write a story in one hour!

At 3pm, author Samantha Hoffman will read from her book "What More Could You Wish For?" about falling in and out of love in mid-life. It's a must-read for strong minded women who want to follow their hearts. The story shows us that times of grief awaken a place within one's self for repairing broken heartstrings and mak­ing new beginnings.
