The day before their competition at the University of Illinois Marching Illini Classic, the Shepard High School band performed for peers.
Throughout the afternoon, classes watched the Marching Astros perform their pre-game set and halftime field show. Band members had some fun, too, as you can see in their rendition of 'Hey Baby.'
Band director Christopher Pitlik and the Marching Astros would place second in Class 5A and fourth overall out of the 25 bands in classes 4A through 6A at the Marcing Illini Classic in Champaign.
