HICKORY HILLS, IL — If you are currently a police officer with two or more years of law enforcement experience and are looking to make a change in your career, the Hickory Hills Police Department is hiring lateral transfer police officers.
Applications are available at Hickory Hills City Hall, 8652 W. 95th St.; the police department, 8800 W. 87th St.; or online. The Hickory Hills Police Department offers:
- Starting salary: $72,249 (step 3)
- Top salary after five years: $97,125 (step 8)
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield (PPO and HMO) along with a flexible spending account, dental, vision and life insurance programs.
- Voluntary: 457 deferred compensation program
- Voluntary: Employees Beneficiary Association Plan (for post-retirement health care)
- Up to four weeks’ vacation, three personal days, 10 holidays
- 12 paid sick days
- Uniform allowance, $1,300 (2022)
- Education incentive
- Tuition reimbursement
- 8-hour shifts, chosen by seniority
