Joy of Fishing at Pleasure Lake Cancelled Indefinitely by Palos Hills
Lake needs to be restocked and recover from last winter's deep freeze.

Palos Hills, in an effort to rebuild Pleasure Lake’s stock of fish, will ban fishing there indefinitely. The Palos Hills city council voted on Thursday to enact the ban and buy aerators at a cost of $12,000 to improve the oxygen levels in the 8-acre lake.
If you’re caught fishing, you could face a $250 fine.
Last winter’s deep freeze killed off a lot of the fish and ruined the spring and summer fishing season, forcing the city to cancel its annual fishing derby.

The lake recently was stocked with $1,300 worth of bluegill, largemouth bass and catfish. The ban will allow a full reproductive cycle for the fish.
