Kent Jr’s life was taken too soon; he did not deserve to die and is much grieved by his parents Kent Mazique Sr. & Anita Mazique-Cervantes, his sisters, Rachel & Rosie, grandfather, Frank Cervantes Jr, several aunts and his uncle Frank III.He is survived by his great-grandmother, Edna Cervantes, of 104 years with whomhe proudly shared a birthday.Kent graduated from Sherwood Elementary, Holmes Junior High, and John Hersey High School. He also took several college courses at the College of DuPage. He had an immense capacity to cherish his family, always impressively recalling the dates of memories from years past. He was a free willed and adventurous spirit who lived life to the fullest--with gusto.He joins his brother Jacob T. Cervantes, grandparents Vivian Cervantes, Dr. Douglas & Shirley Mazique, and uncles Doug & Jim Mazique. Visitation Sunday from 3 until 8 p.m.Funeral prayers Monday will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights.Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
