Kia, Hyundai Damaged In Condo Complex Parking Lot: Palos Hills Blotter

The vehicles' ignition collars were broken in a theft attempt, Palos Hills police said.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Attempts were made to steal two vehicles during the overnight hours of Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 that were parked in the community lot of a condominium complex in Palos Hills.

The owner of a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe told officers he parked his vehicle in the community parking lot in the 8200 block of 111th Street. The next morning when he returned to the car, someone had broken the ignition collar. Police said nothing was taken from the vehicle.

A 2020 Kia Forte parked in the same lot was also damaged during the overnight hours. Someone smashed the rear window and busted the ignition collar, reports said.
