Man Dies After Being Extricated from Car in Palos Hills Crash

Palos Hills police respond to 2-car crash where a 51-year-old Oak Lawn man died, reports said.

PALOS HILLS, IL -- An Oak Lawn man died following a two-car accident in Palos Hills. Timothy Budzius, 51, died en route to the hospital, reports said.

Palos Hills police responded to two-car accident with injuries around 6 p.m. April 27. When officers arrived, they discovered two vehicles that had crashed head-on at 101st Street and Roberts Road. Police said Budzius was the long occupant of his vehicle.

Paramedics treated two children riding in the second car and released them to the their parents. The driver and the other occupants were transported to the hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released.

Police said Budzius was gravely injured and was extricated from his vehicle. He was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The investigation remains ongoing.
