Man Gets 21 Years for String of Armed Robberies in Palos Hills
In one of the robberies, Nick Koliopoulos fired his gun, but did not injure anyone.

A 25-year-old man convicted of a string of armed robberies in Palos Hills was sentenced last month to 21 years in prison.
Nick Koliopoulos was arrested in April 2014 in connection with several armed robberies in Palos Hills and one in Worth. He was charged with two counts of Class X Felony Armed Robbery, one count of a Class 1 Aggravated Robbery, and 1 Count of Felony Reckless Discharge of a Firearm. Police were able to capture Koliopoulos after was found in possession of a note used in a prior robbery, while being questioned in the area of another.
He fired his weapon during one robbery, but no one was injured.

Koliopoulos appeared at the 5th District Bridgeview Court House in July and was sentenced to 21 years for the robberies and three years for a separate instance, with the sentences to run concurrent.
