Man Injures Officers Resisting Arrest: Cops

Palos Hills police were answering call of domestic disturbance when the man kicked and shoved them reports said.

PALOS HILLS, IL — A Palos Hills man injured police officers when they were placing him under arrest, reports said. Paul Playo, 24, is facing felony charges of resisting a peace officer, and assault and battery.

Around 7:30 p.m. July 1, a woman and two male friends went to Playo’s residence on the 8500 block of 103 Terrace, Palos Hills, to retrieve some personal belongings. While getting her stuff, police said Playo threatened her and shoved her friends who were helping her move.

When officers arrived, police said Plato would not let them in the residence. Playo came out, officers were trying to take him into custody, the report said. When officers tried to take him into custody, police said that Playo pulled away and tried to run.

According to the report, once in custody Playo started kicking the officers, causing them to fall and injure themselves.
