Man Threatens Boy In Church With Knife: Cops
Palos Hills police reports allege man took out knife and made a slashing motion to his throat after telling the boy to sit down in church.

PALOS HILLS, IL -- A Hickory Hills man was arrested after he allegedly threatened a boy at a Palos Hills church, reports said. Algred Schumacher, 61, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct and unlawful use of a weapon.
Around 3 p.m. Nov. 8, police said that Schumacher approached a boy at the Savior Divine Church at 10040 S. 88th Ave. in Palos Hills. Schumacher told the boy to sit down. Schumacher allegedly removed a pocket knife from his pocket and held it to his own neck, making a slashing motion to his throat, reports said.
Schumacher used profanities at the boy and exited the church to put knife in his car, police said. The Hickory Hills man then returned to the church. Schumacher has a Dec. 28 court date in Bridgeview.
