Man Uses Fake Money To Buy Gift Card At Walgreens In Palos Hills: Cops
When the man tried to purchase a second gift card, he fled the store when the associate questioned the validity of the money, police said.
PALOS HILLS, IL — Funny money turned up July 21 at a Palos Hills business, reports said.
Around 8:45 p.m., a man entered the Walgreens, 11053 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills. The man entered the store and walked directly to the cashier. He plunked down ten twenty-dollar bills and asked to purchase a Vanilla Direct gift card.
When the transaction was completed, he tried to buy another gift card. This time, the store associate questioned the validity of the twenty-dollar bills, the man immediately left the store. The bills turned out to be counterfeit.

The alleged counterfeiter was described as a male black in his twenties with a thin build and dreadlocks.
