The summer months have been very exciting for the band program at Stagg High School.
Drum Majors Mary Baca, Pat Gabel, and Stephen Jackiw gave a great show at the Smith-Walbridge Drum Major Camp, held at Eastern Illinois University.
The Marching Chargers have had weekly rehearsals since the summer months began, and met as a full ensemble for the first time on July 25.

“The students have worked very hard the entire summer, and have done a great job so far preparing their show “For All Mankind,” said Director Bob Mecozzi.
The Marching Chargers arrived at Camp Shaw-Wah-Nas-See in Manteno, IL on Saturday, July 30 and spent five days rehearsing music, learning marching movements, and participating in various team building activities. The students set a good pace at camp this year, a testament to their dedication and strong work ethic.
