Driving Moped On the Sidewalk
A 51-year-old Palos Hills man is was charged with a felony for driving on a suspended license, reports said. Around 8 p.m. Sept. 28, police observed Wayne Gregg driving a moped down the sidewalk in the 7500 block of 103rd Street. The report said Gregg’s driver’s license was suspended. He also did not have valid registration or insurance for the bike.
Durbin’s Drink and Dash
A patron left the bar at Durbin’s around 10 p.m. Oct. 1 reportedly without paying their tab. Police were able to locate the wayward offender and made the patron come back to pay the bar tab.
Romance Counselors
Palos Hills police were able to bring peace to a quarrelling couple. One of the parties had been receiving unwanted calls and text messages on Oct. 1. Around 4:30 p.m., the alleged harasser showed up at the residence to confront the other party about an affair. Police were able to resolve the issue and no one was arrested.
