More than $1,000 Stolen from Palos Hills Home: Blotter

SUNDAY, JULY 12

Assault

Arthur Drozdz, 35, of Palos Hills, was arrested and charged with assault after a July 12 incident in the 11100 block of South 84th Avenue, according to Palos Hills police.

A woman claimed Drozdz approached her at about 1 p.m. and began using profanities, the report stated. He then threatened to hit her, the report added.

Drozdz’s court date is Aug. 11.

Stolen Grill

A gas grill was reported stolen July 12 from Ace Hardware, 7610 W. 111th St., according to Palos Hills police reports.

An employee told police that a man driving a green Ford Explorer took the grill from the store, put it in the SUV and drove away, the report stated.

THURSDAY, JULY 9

Theft

About $1,850 was reported stolen from a home in the 11200 block of South Moraine Drive, according to Palos Hills police reports.

The house showed no signs of forced entry, and the homeowner told police the the money might have been taken by a visitor, the report stated.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 8

Threatening Phone Calls

A business owner in the 10700 block of South Roberts Road claims the former owner was calling and threatening him over money, according to Palos Hills police reports.
