Palos Heights police reports, May 1–4.

MONDAY, MAY 4

DUI

Aaron Young, 30, of Thornton, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit, speeding, driving without insurance and driving without a valid license after a May 4 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.

Police clocked Young at about 2:17 a.m., going 52 mph in a 35-mph zone in the 8000 West 131st Street, the report stated. During the stop, a computer check revealed Young’s license was expired for more than a year and his SUV was not insured, the report added.

At the scene, Young showed signs of being intoxicated and failed sobriety tests, the report stated. Young also took a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol content was more than 0.08, which is the legal limit, the report added.

Young was held on $3,000, and his court date is June 2.

SUNDAY, MAY 3

DUI

Marcus Davis, 54, of the 12600 block of South Princeton Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use after a May 3 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.

Davis was pulled over by police at about 2:37 a.m. for traveling over the median line in the 6300 block of West 127th Street, the report stated. During the stop, Davis showed signs of being intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests at the scene, the report added.

Davis was held on $3,000 bond, and his court date is May 22.

FRIDAY, MAY 1

Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor

Ryan D. Caldwell, 20, of the 6800 block of West 98th Street, Chicago Ridge, was arrested and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by minor and driving with one headlight after a May 1 traffic stop, according to Palos Heights police reports.

Police pulled over Caldwell for driving with only one working headlight at about 3:09 a.m. in the 12500 block of South Harlem Avenue, the report stated. During the stop, the officer could smell an odor of alcohol, and Caldwell, who is younger than 21, admitted to drinking earlier, the report added.

Caldwell was held on $120 bond, and his court date is June 2..
