Most Fall Classes At Moraine Valley Will Be Offered Online
Hybrid classes are reserved for career and technical education, and select labs. Fall semester starts Aug. 24.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Most classes at Moraine Valley Community College will be offered online this fall. The community college closed its campuses on March 17 and went to remote learning when students returned from spring break because of the pandemic.
Fall classes are either online or hybrid (a combination of online and face-to-face instruction). Hybrid classes are reserved for career and technical education courses and select labs that require a limited amount of time on campus to learn and practice hands-on skills. Many CTE classes began Aug. 10.
Moraine Valley offers classes for those interested in transferring to four-year colleges or universities by earning associate degrees in the arts, fine arts, general studies, engineering science, applied science or science. Students can also choose from several career programs offered, including allied health and nursing, business and computer sciences, industrial technology and public service. The college offers noncredit programs as well.

With an annual average cost of $4,446, attending classes at Moraine Valley can save students up to nearly $30,000 per year compared to private colleges or universities.
A complete list of credit and noncredit classes can be found in the fall 2020 class schedule online at morainevalley.edu. Tuition is $131 per credit hour plus fees and books. Registration is ongoing. The college shortened its fall semester from 17 to 16 weeks with most courses taking place online starting Aug. 24.
