Over 100 Vendors Featured At Stagg Music Boosters Craft Show
Stagg Music Boosters' craft features hundreds of vendors, including arts, crafts, food and party items March 17 and March 18.

PALOS HILLS, IL – Arts and crafts enthusiasts have 100 vendors to visit during the Stagg Music Boosters’ annual spring craft fair at Stagg High School, 8015 W. 111th St. Vendors will showcase their arts and crafts, food and home party items. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 17 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 18. Admission is $2 for adults; children are admitted free. Parking is free.
The Stagg Jazz Ensemble will entertain shoppers and vendors at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17 in the Commons near North Gym. The jazz ensemble is an audition-based, co-curricular ensemble that typically meets twice a week after school from November through March.
“Through performance and participation in the ensemble, students are immersed in several different styles of jazz and explore their creativity through improvisation,” said Robert Mecozzi, Stagg’s director of bands. “The support of Stagg's Music Boosters is invaluable to our students' experiences as they not only provide additional staff to work with the students but also better-quality materials and experiences we would otherwise not be able to afford.”

Mecozzi called music “a vital part of human life. We listen to and study music in schools because it is one of the areas in which the imaginative, creative approach to self-expression is fostered. Because of this, music has a remarkably important role in the life of a high school student. Music provides students a chance to emotionally communicate to themselves and to others, and to express those emotions in an appropriate manner.”
He is grateful for the support for Stagg’s music program. “The opportunities for students to be in our performing ensembles would not be possible without the support of our community, school and district administration, and organizations like the Music Boosters, who help provide funding and volunteer of their time throughout the year,” Mecozzi said.
