Palos 118 East Elementary Food Drive Nets Over 3,000 Donations

Students collected over 3,000 non-perishable food items for its annual food drive which benefits the Palos Heights Food Pantry.

Palos 118 East Elementary School recently completed another successful holiday food drive.

Students collected over 3,000 non-perishable food items donated by Palos East families for its annual food drive which benefits the Palos Heights Food Pantry.

The drive is organized each year by the Palos East student council said 5th grade teacher Cathy Casey. She said that the drive helps stock the local pantry during the holiday season and help community members in need.

Mrs. Casey said that student council members collect the food and also pack it up for delivery.

“It is amazing how generous our Palos East families are in making our drive a huge success and helping our community,” said Mrs. Casey.
