Palos Cops Offer Rides, Plan Fourth of July DUI Checkpoints
Palos Park and Palos Heights police will be monitoring area roadways for impaired and distracted drivers.

PALOS, IL -- Palos Park and Palos Height police will be highly visible on the roadways during the Fourth of July holiday, targeting drivers who needlessly put others in danger. With a higher volume of holiday travelers comes a higher risk of hazardous drivers on the road. Police from both communities will also be looking for occupants in vehicles who aren’t wearing seat belts.
If you’re in Palos Park July 3 or July 4 and have had too much to drink and need a ride home, call Palos Park PD at 708 448 2191. Officers will get you home safely and won’t arrest you for calling.
Palos Heights police will be putting on extra patrols keeping a close watch on area roadways for impaired drivers, seatbelt violators and distracted motorists. Expect DUI checkpoints, too.
