Palos Heights Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With SUV
Palos Heights man on motorcycle struck by SUV attempting to make left turn at Bridgeview intersection, police say.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL -- A Palos Heights man was killed Friday night when an SUV crashed into his motorcycle at a Bridgeview intersection, police said in a news release. The motorcyclist was identified as 32-year-old Milton Winters. A Chicago Ridge woman has been cited in the crash.
The accident happened around 8:13 p.m. Sept. 8, near the entrance to the Southfield Shopping Plaza at Harlem and 88th Street. Police responded to a call of an accident involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. Officers learned that the SUV was traveling southbound in the 8800 block of Harlem Avenue. The motorcycle was traveling northbound on Harlem Avenue when the driver of the SUV reportedly crashed into the Harley. Police said the driver of the SUV was attempting to make a left turn into the shopping center.
A witness to the crash told police that both drivers were within the 40mph speed limit. The witness said the motorcycle hit the SUV as it was making a left turn. Both lanes of traffic had a green light, according to the witness. The 62-year-old driver of the SUV was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn.
