With increased pedestrians and bicyclists using the roadways due to sheltering at home, Palos Heights police remind motorists to slow down.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — With the onset of warm weather and Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s order to shelter in place, more social-distancing pedestrians and bicyclists are sharing the streets and road with vehicular traffic.

The Palos Heights Police Department is reminding residents the speed limit for all residential streets is 20mph and to be cautious of pedestrians and bicyclists sharing the roadways. Pedestrians and bicyclists also need to exercise attentiveness around vehicles as well.
