Palos Hills Recreation Department Offers Pumpkin Carving and Haunted Hayride, Oct. 27-28

Grab your pals for a haunted hayride through Pleasure Lake Park or carve a pumpkin with your parents at the Palos Hills Community Center.

PALOS HILLS, IL -- The Palos Hills Recreation Department is conjuring up all kinds of spooky fun for Halloween. Enjoy the thrills and chills of a haunted hayride and carve your own pumpkin. The festivities are set for Oct. 27 and Oct. 28.

Haunted Hills of Palos Hayride

Climb aboard the old hay rack for a tractor driven haunted hayride through Pleasure Lake Park at 10801 S. Roberts Road in Palos Hills on Oct. 27 and Oct. 28. From 6 to 7 p.m. both evenings, a non-scary ride is scheduled for younger children and their parents. The scary hayride kicks off from 7 to 9 p.m. with zombies, ghosts and other creatures populating the woods. Tickets can be pre-purchased at the Palos Hills Community Center, 8455 W. 103rd St. Adults are $5, children 10 and under, $3. Cash only, please.

Pumpkin Carving Party

Enjoy a hot dog lunch and carve your own jack o’ lantern at the Palos Hills Community Center, 8455 W. 103rd St. Kids ages 2 to 16 are invited to stop by the community center from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Each child will receive a pumpkin to care. Cost for a family of 2-4 is $25 (residents) and $30 for non-residents. Each additional child is $5 for residents, $7 for a non-resident; and $4 for each additional adult (resident) and $6 for non-residents.
