Palos Park Police Host 'Coffee With A Cop'

PALOS PARK, IL -- The Palos Park Police Department will be hosting "Coffee with A Cop" at the Plush Horse, which is located at 12301 S. 86th Ave from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21. This month’s gathering features Police Commissioner Dan Polk. Commissioner Polk will cover a wide range of topics from fluid incident driven patrol coverage, staffing, to equipment and unending officer training.

Special guest will be Officer Derek Kaczmarczyk, who just spent five months in basic training at the Chicago Police Academy. Recent events in the past year highlight the need for communication, respect and transparency. Palos Park police work for the public and want to build on that level of trust by forming and connecting with community members, one cop and one cup, at a time. Stop by, have a cup of coffee and let's talk, even if it's just about the weather, it's a start towards open communication, sharing ideas and developing a partnership.
