Palos Park Police Plan Crackdown On Labor Day Drunk Drivers
Palos Park police will run special patrols over the Labor Day holiday looking for seat belt violators, drunk and distracted drivers.

PALOS PARK, IL — Palos Park police, as many other nearby communities, will be out in force over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Motorists are reminded to plan trips carefully and allow plenty of time to reach their destination. Officers will be out in force keeping a close watch on Palos Park roads and streets.
Additional officers will be on patrol cracking down on speeders, and impaired and distracted drivers. If you plan on drinking alcohol at end-of-summer holiday gathering, designate a non-drinking driver in advance and have a plan for getting home. Motorists are advised to call 9-1-1 to report suspected drunk drivers. Also, wear your seat belts.
“As motorists travel through Palos Park, we want them to know our officers will be out in force, working hard to remove impaired drivers from the roads. Our goal is for everyone to get safely to their destination.” Palos Park Police Commissioner Dan Polk said.
