Palos South Softball Team Finishes 2nd in Post Season
The 2021/22 Palos South Middle School Boys Softball team celebrated a second-place finish in the Southwest Interscholastic Conference.

The Palos South Middle School boys’ softball team has finished second in the Southwest Interscholastic Conference regular season in October with a record of 9-2.
In the post season tournament, the Cardinals defeated the Orland Eagles 3-1 and went on to defeat the Liberty Patriots 6-4 in the semi-finals. Later that evening, the Cardinals played in the championship game against the undefeated Prairie View Eagles. In a back-and-forth battle, the Eagles defeated the Cardinals with a last inning homerun to win the championship by a score of 8-7.
“The players had a great season and an exciting finish for the year,” said Coach Randy Buvala.

“The tournament was one of the most exciting in Conference history,” he added.
The 2021/22 Palos South Boys Softball team includes Patrick Hennessey, Miles Sanchez, Evan Speh, Joe Fitzgerald, Patrick Ready, Jasper Wills, Jacob Sulek, Charlie Rosynek, John Skordas, Will Houston, Anthony Diliberto, Luke Kavois, Isaac Maldonado, Nolan Ramoley, and Kevin Grossman.
