Palos South Students Spell Out "Hello!" For Inclusion Week
Students gathered on the school field last week to greet the world with a giant "hello" as part of a week designed to promote inclusion.

PALOS PARK, IL — It’s hard to get much friendlier than hundreds of students spelling out “Hello!”
But that’s exactly what happened last week at Palos South Middle School, when the entire school gathered on the field and spelled out “Hello!”
The unusual event capped off the school’s weeklong celebration of Start with Hello Week, a national initiative from Sandy Hook Promise’s Know the Signs program that aims to start the year off right by promoting inclusivity and friendliness at the start of each school year.

In addition to wishing the world a giant hello, Palos South students planted peace pinwheels, changed to new seats to meet new friends, and swore green to promote connectedness.
