Photos Released Of Suspects In 7-Eleven Strong Arm Robbery

Police ask for the public's help in identifying suspects and a car believed to have been involved in a strong arm robbery in Palos Heights.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Police have released more details and surveillance images from Monday’s strong arm robbery at a convenience store in Palos Heights. The robbers are said to have rushed the cashier behind the counter and got away with an undetermined amount of money.

Around 5:30 p.m., Aug. 31, officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the 7-Eleven store at 135th Street and Ridgeland Avenue. Police said that one of the robbers walked behind the counter and went to the cash registers. The employee told officers she tried to stop him, but the robber pushed her away.

Police said the robber grabbed the cash drawers from both cash registers and threw them on the floor. Both cash drawers broke open. He grabbed the money and ran through an emergency exit being held open by an accomplice, police said. The cashier was not injured.

Before the men entered the store, police said they were seen talking to a woman who appeared to know them.
