Palos Hills Resident Discovers Zelle Account Emptied Of $215,000

The resident had received a notification that the phone number to their Zelle account had been changed, Palos Hills police said.

PALOS HILLS, IL — A Palos Hills resident says their Zelle account was emptied out of $215,000 in another deceptive practice, reports said.

Palos Hills police went to the 10400 block of Interlochen Drive in response to a deceptive practice. The resident said received a notification that the phone number for their Zelle account had been changed.

When the resident checked their Citibank account, the resident discovered that someone withdrew approximately $215,000 from Jackson Heights, NY.
