Road Rage Fight
Two Hickory Hills men were arrested May 21 in connection with a fight that started over road rage, according to Palos Hills police reports.

Gregory Beranek, 18, of Hickory Hills, was arrested and charged with assault, and Devon Smith, 20, of Hickory Hills, was arrested and charged with battery.
The victim in the incident told police Beranek had been tailing and honking his horn at about 1:30 p.m.. When the two stopped at a red light in the 10300 block of South Roberts Road, Beranek reportedly got out of his car and began yelling at and threatening the victim.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 20
Stealing Lottery Tickets
Steven Anich, 30, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft after being accused of stealing lottery tickets May 20 from Palos Pantry, 8652 W. 103rd St., according to Palos Hills police reports.
A Palos Pantry employee told police Anich entered the store at about 2 p.m. and asked for beer from the cooler. When the employee went to get the beer, Anich reached over the store counter, snatched some lottery tickets and fled, the report stated.
Anich was eventually found and taken into custody by Burbank police, the report stated. Along with Palos Hills incident, Anich also was charged for similar crimes in Burbank and Lemont, the report added.
MONDAY, MAY 18
Fake Credit Cards
A Palos Hills resident told police his name was used to open fake credit cards that were used to rack up almost $9,000 in purchases, including more than $1,500 in Chicago Bulls tickets, according to reports.
The TicketsNow events ticket site contacted the victim about $1,670 worth of Bulls tickets that were purchased with a credit card in his name, the Palos Hills police report stated. The victim also was notified that other credit cards had been taken out in his name and had generated charges totaling $8,965, the report stated.
