Burbank Man's Shed Is The Ultimate KISS Man Cave: VIDEO

BURBANK, IL -- A few years ago we met Tim Emanuel while covering an unrelated fight at a Burbank gas station. Tim was kind enough to give Patch and our friends at Burbank Beat a tour of his KISS man cave located in a shack in his backyard. We never forgot it.

In honor of the upcoming Chicago Open Air Fest in Toyota Park this weekend, we went back to visit Tim and his dude-tastic KISS manspace. Tim, now in his 50s, joined the KISS army in 1977 when he was 13.

“I liked the makeup and the craziness,” he said.

Tim has amassed an amazing collection of KISS memorabilia. He has all their albums in vinyl, 8-track and CD.Sometimes he comes home from work to sit in his KISS man cave for three or four hours before he goes into the house and his wife asks him how long he's been home.

He’s also passed his love for KISS on to his children, who will one day inherit his vintage, never-opened-the-box KISS action figures. How big of fan is he? Tim named his son after his favorite KISS band member Ace Frehley. He also has a couple of KISS tattoos, which he generously showed to Patch's Facebook Live viewers. And last year, he dressed a one-year-old baby up like Gene Simmons, who happened to be his grandson Joey.

KISS is headlining Friday, July 14, on opening night of Chicago Open Air Fest, which goes until July 16 at Toyota Park in Bridgeview. Patch contributor AJ Roccaforte will be shooting the KISS and Megadeath shows, so check back this weekend for photo highlights.
