Mother McAuley High School Mothers Club hosts annual prom dress consignment resale Jan. 18-Jan. 19. Donated dresses are also needed.

CHICAGO, IL -- If you have any prom or graduation dresses hanging in your closets, consider donating them to the Mother McAuley High School Mother Club's graduation and prom dress consignment sale Jan. 18 and Jan. 19. The annual consignment sale is open to the public and will feature a large selection of gently worn prom and graduation gowns available for purchase. Sale hours are as follow:

  • Friday, Jan. 18, 6 p.m.to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Eva's International in Orland Park made a sizable donation of new dresses to get McAuley's 2019 prom dress resale started.

"The dresses are truly amazing," said Angela Villanueva, president of McAuley's Mothers Club. "We are so grateful for their generosity. As moms we want the best for our children all the time and for some families this is the best. Whether your budget conscience or simply savvy with your money, this is a great opportunity for any young lady to find a dress that makes her feel beautiful and within her budget. We only accept dresses in 'like new' condition, which is why it's so worthwhile to come in and try some dresses on."
