Shepard High School Announces Tentative Graduation Plans
Dist. 218 officials will try to hold a tradition graduation ceremony in July pending the pandemic for Shepard's Class of 2020.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — CHSD Dist. 218 officials want to give Alan B. Shepard High School’s senior class the opportunity to walk across the stage and receive their diplomas. Shepard enacted its remote learning plan earlier this month after schools were closed to slow the spread of coronavirus. The last day of remote learning for seniors is May 8. There will be no final exams for seniors.
A traditional graduation ceremony will be held between July 6 and July 11. In the event social distancing mandates do not allow a large gathering to be safely conducted, the district will explore alternative plans.
A virtual senior awards ceremony will be held to honor scholarship recipients. A viewable link will be shared the week of May 26 with all seniors receiving an award. Students will receive a commemorative program, award letter and information on scholarships in the mail.
