Shepard team qualifies for marksmanship regionals

Astros to Ohio this weekend to compete against the nation.

Shepard High School students Andrew Alheim, Dominic Estrada, and Trevor Mikos have qualified for the Civilian Marksmanship Program JROTC Regional Championship.

Andrew, Dominic and Trevor, all of whom participate in the U.S. Air force JROTC program at Shepard, will compete in Port Clinton Ohio from February 16 to 18.

"This is the first time any of our cadets have advanced to this stage of competition. They will be competing with cadets from all over the country at this tournament," said Major Dan Johnson, the senior aeronautical science instructor at Shepard.
