
Principal Josh Barron and the Shepard High School community welcomed five new teachers to the 2013-2014 school year this week.
New staff members include Carrie Alvarado, a science teacher with a bachelor’s degree from St. Xavier University; Jennifer Banos-Glaz, an art teacher with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree from Dominican University; Danielle Jones, a foreign language teacher with a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and a master’s degree from the University of New Mexico.
Also, Matthew Krogh, an industrial technology teacher with a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a master’s degree from the American College of Education; and, Hala Miari, a science teacher with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and master’s degree from St. Xavier University.
