St. Alexander and St. Patricia schools are spiffing up its halls and classrooms in anticipation of National Catholic Schools Week, which begins Jan. 26 and runs through Feb. 1. Each year, the last week of January is set aside where Catholic schools observe with week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2019 is "Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed."

Based on Catholic values and traditions, St. Alexander School educates students to be socially responsible, morally sound and economically aware citizens in a culturally diverse society. St. Alexander School will host a “New Family Open House” from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Parents can register their child with a $100 non-refundable check, an original birth certificate and baptismal certificate. St. Alexander offers:

St. Patricia kicks off Catholic Schools Week with a 9:30 a.m. mass, Sunday, Jan. 26, followed by an open house and tours of the preschool and kindergarten through eighth grade classrooms. Tours will be led by current families, students and alumni. St. Patricia Principal Jamie Nowinski and teachers will be available to answer questions. The school offers:
