Stagg HS hosts FBI Special Agent for school safety presentation
50 southwest suburban law enforcement, high school and elementary school representatives attend
Stagg High School today hosted FBI Special Agent Beth Kreppein, a crisis negotiator and active shooter preparation and response trainer, for a school safety presentation to a group of more than 50 representatives from southwest suburban law enforcement agencies, high schools and elementary schools.
At the networking and professional development opportunity, Kreppein discussed prevention of such incidents, identification of threats, preparation for an active shooter event and how schools and police can respond to an active shooter event.
"Stagg High School and District 230 are highly committed to the safety of students, staff, and community and see immeasurable value in ongoing dialogue about best practices in school safety with our neighboring school districts and local police departments," said Stagg High School Head Dean Mary Pat Carr.
