Stagg Jazz Ensemble Will Perform Friday At Slapshots

MIDLOTHIAN — Talented student musicians from Amos Alonzo Stagg High School will be playing and singing a set this Friday, April 26, at Slapshots Bar and Grill, 14608 S. Cicero Ave., Midolothian. Stagg's Bobo At The Beach, the jazz ensemble and a capella group Business Casual will playing at 5:30 p.m.

Stagg Music Boosters, the parent-run organization that provides support for Stagg’s music programs, will receive 10 percent of all sales from 5:30 to 8 p.m., which includes all food and beverages. No fliers are needed. Invite your friends and family. Don’t be surprised if you hear Weather Report’s “Birdland,” a favorite of the jazz ensemble.

The Stagg Music Boosters enrich music programs by working to fund extras that not provided for in the program’s budget. In addition, parents volunteer to help with the Stagg Marching Chargers, color guard and choir programs. The music boosters help tirelessly from fund-raising programs and uniform fittings, to chaperoning trips and everything in between.
